FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A few things,
made clear.

What the examples demonstrate, how the calculators work and where to go next.

Are these real businesses?

No. Cedar & Saffron, Juniper Table and Parcel Kitchen are fictional prelaunch cases. Their premises, sales targets, working-owner roles and funding are illustrative.

What is included in a complete example?

The full plan in HTML, its saved financial summary, actual financial-report interior previews, all ten pitch slides and three complete PDFs. A format guide is clearly labeled separately.

Why are there three restaurant formats?

Counter service, full service and delivery first have different sales units, capacity constraints, staffing, assets and channel costs. Each deserves its own operating case.

Do the articles estimate a typical restaurant’s profit?

They explain worked scenarios and their drivers. They do not claim a national average, a quote for your city or a forecast for your own business.

Is the working owner paid in the examples?

Yes. Working-owner compensation is included once in payroll, with the saved employer-cost allowance. Extra owner withdrawals are not modeled.

Are the sample downloads free?

Yes. Each complete fictional case has three freely available sample PDFs. Application access, generated documents and paid-service terms are separate. Application access is currently restricted. The application opens at app.bplan.ai. Account access, AI generation, billing and exports depend on the application’s current availability and terms. A link from this website does not grant access to those features.

Do the calculators use the same numbers as the examples?

Their default models match the selected saved case. They recalculate a subset of inputs with the same native financial engine and disclose the remaining defaults and simplifications.

Can I save a calculator scenario here?

The public calculator returns a result without creating or saving an application account project. Numerical inputs are sent in the request URL; technical request handling and retention are described in the privacy policy. Application access is currently restricted. The application opens at app.bplan.ai. Account access, AI generation, billing and exports depend on the application’s current availability and terms. A link from this website does not grant access to those features.

What does startup spending include?

Prelaunch assets, expensed setup and opening ingredients. Opening cash is the funding remainder. Refundable deposits and unknown site work are excluded from the sample budgets.

Does positive cash mean the business is profitable?

No. Equity financing can leave cash available while the operating business reports a loss. Read profit, cash flow and the balance sheet together.

Does a funding gap equal the external investment ask?

No. The gap is the shortfall in a particular modeled scenario. The external ask is a proposed financing contribution. Neither is secured funding.

Are the illustrations real premises?

Generated scenes are conceptual. The report and pitch preview images are actual pages rendered from the delivered PDFs.

Where can I read the calculation method?

The methodology page defines the saved-model basis, measures, limits and illustration policy. Each calculator also has a visible method section.

Which policies cover this website?

The Privacy policy, website terms and cookie policy cover bplan.ai. They identify the operator, public contact and website practices. They do not define application accounts, AI generation or paid-service terms.

How can I report an error or ask a privacy question?

Send corrections and support requests to support@bplan.ai, and privacy questions to info@bplan.ai. Include the page URL and relevant details. See Contact.
